Main tasks
Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
- Perform Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) and define ASIL levels
- Develop and maintain Safety Plans, Safety Concepts, and Safety Cases
- Conduct FMEA, FTA, and FMEDA for safety-critical systems o Support technical safety requirement allocation and traceability
- Collaborate with hardware/software/system teams to implement safety mechanisms
- Ensure verification and validation of safety goals and requirements
- Interface with OEMs and suppliers to align safety requirements
- Prepare safety documentation including safety case, safety requirements, and test reports
- Support audits and assessments
Quality Assurance (ASPICE, IATF 16949)
- Define and monitor quality processes across development lifecycle
- Lead the quality awareness campaign within the R&D department
- Develop and implement quality standards
- Conduct internal audits and support external assessments
- Ensure process compliance with ASPICE and ISO standards
- Manage non-conformance reports, CAPA, and continuous improvement
- Support supplier quality and interface with OEMs for quality reviews
- Provide internal training where necessary
- Quality reporting to Management and customers
- Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
Other tasks
Administrative tasks
- Record/track times
- Support of the continuous improvement process (CIP) in terms of development methodology (ASPICE), project management, utilised tools and technologies, training, etc.
General duties
- Willing to travel to the customer
- Following: rules related to workplace health and safety, ESD guidelines, protection of company property
- Committing to working hours, shift schedule, and breaks defined by the supervisor
- Treating company materials, products, and other property with due diligence and care
- Committing to the training programs required to fulfill the functions of this role
- Performing tasks required by the integrated quality and environmental management systems; Cooperating to protect the environment (e.g., sorting and recycling waste); reporting environmental accidents immediately.
- Performing all other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Authority
- Authority to make technical decisions related to the safety and quality.
- Provide technical guidance, expertise and overview to the team and stakeholders.
- Ensure the Hardware, System and Software design adheres to the project objectives and best practices •
External relationships
- The employee represents APAG and as such, is expected to behave respectfully to other employees and company visitors.
- The employee is subject to the confidentiality agreement signed when you joined the company.

Requirements
- Education Bachelor’s or master’s in electrical, Electronics or Automotive Engineering
- Experience: 9-12 years of experience in automotive embedded development preferred.
- Basic ability to read and interpret schematics preferred.
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR toolchains and architecture preferred.
- Experience with IBM DOORS or similar requirements management tools.
- Experience with Enterprise Architect preferred.
- Experience with Vector tools (CANape, CANalyzer, CANoe, DaVinci, Geny) preferred.
- Experience with APIS IQ-Pro for FMEA or functional safety analysis.
- Knowledge of CAN and LIN communication protocols preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ASPICE / ISO 26262 and IATF 16949 ▪ Experience working across mechanical and software domains, with understanding of motors, actuators, and moving mechanical parts.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and audit procedures.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Professional Skills/Certification in Functional Safety (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer)
